    Friday, October 26th

    at Silver Spring School from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

    Enter through Door 9 on Silver Spring Avenue

    Doors close at 6:45 p.m.

    Please join us for trick or treating, music, and fun!

    $3 per person or $10 per family

    Spooky Library, face painting, and food available for extra fee.  Cash only.

    Bring a bag for trick or treating!

    Peanut free candy donations are needed.

    PTC Fundraiser:  Throughout the month ending October 28th ~ Meadow Brook Farms

     

    Book Fair: Monday, October 1st to Friday, October 5th ~ In our school library during library classes

     

    PTC Meeting:   Thursday, October 4th at 6 p.m. ~ In our school library

     

    Spirit Day: Friday, October 5th ~ Wear our school colors....purple and white

    Chance to Dance:  Tuesday, October 16th ~ Every Tuesday from 3 - 3:45 p.m. in the gym

     

    PTC Fundraiser: Tuesday, October 16th ~ Take out or eat in at Panera between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. and a % of the receipts will be donated to our school

     

    Flu Clinic:  Monday, October 22nd from 4 - 6:30 p.m. in the gym ~ Register online or when you come in for your flu shot

     

    Haunted Hallway:  Friday, October 26th from 6 - 8 p.m. ~ Volunteers are welcome to help set-up, during the night, and clean-up

    Important Announcement:

     

    Due to the expected hot weather tomorrow, Tuesday, September 4th and Thursday, September 6th, we will be 

     

    dismissing our students early at 12:00 p.m.  Students will have lunch before they are dismissed.

       

    Thank you for your support and cooperation.

     

     

     


     

     


    Due to the continuation of extreme heat Thursday, August 30th, elementary students will be dismissed at 12:00 p.m.

    Back to School!

    • First Day of school for students in grades 1 through 5 is Tuesday, August 28th.  

    • First Day of school for kindergarten students is Thursday, August 30th.

    • School hours are 8:40 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

    • The Superintendent wants to remind everyone that due to RI DOT construction effecting the city, especially in the areas of Taunton Ave., Waterman Ave., and Broadway, we ask that you allow extra time for your commute to school next week.

    • Students are to line up according to their teacher's name (there will be signs with teachers' names on the first day of school) outside around the flagpole.

    • Please view our live calendar for events throughout the school year (school events have been posted on our live calendar through June 2019).

    Silver Spring Monthly Food Drive

    To Benefit the Hope & Faith Charity

     

    Silver Spring Elementary School will be collecting canned food items on a monthly basis for the Hope & Faith Charity.  The schedule is as follows:

    September:  Tuna

    October:  Canned fruit

    November:  Cranberry sauce

    December:  Hot chocolate

    January:  Soup

    February:  Soup

    March:  Muffin mix

    April:  Jelly

    May:  Hunts spaghetti sauce
